Kratom Soap Ingredients
To get started, here are all the ingredients you need.
- 2 lbs. of organic shea butter soap base
- 1 cup of oil - can be avocado, palm, coconut, olive, etc.
- 6oz of kratom powder.
- 2 tablespoons of dried lavender buds
- 3 drops of vegetable dye
- 10-20 drops of lavender essential oil
- 10-20 drops of eucalyptus essential oil.
- Your favorite molds.
Step-By-Step Guide to Making Kratom Soap
Ready to add some kratom soap to your wellness routine? Let’s go ahead and cut to the chase. Below, we will break down the full process.
1. Get Your Base Ready
First, gather those 2 pounds of organic shea butter base and melt it using a double broiler until they are melted down into a nice liquid. Make sure the liquid dissolves evenly and that there are no chunks of base.
2. Add in Carrier Oil & Kratom Powder
Now we are ready to start with the fun part. With your base still in the double broiler, now is the time to mix in that cup of the carrier oil that you got. Remember, it can be palm, coconut, or really whatever your desired oil is.
Simultaneously, mix in about 6oz of kratom powder. We prefer green vein powder, but it can also be any strain and vein of your choosing!
3. Mix in Your Lavender Buds
Although you can choose from really any type of botanicals, we find that lavender buds are the best for kratom soap. Mix in about 2 tablespoons of lavender buds to add some extra fragrance and soothing properties to your final product.
4. Drip in Your Vegetable Dye
Next up, we need to turn this sketchy-looking goo into something that looks like soap! To add some extra color, mix in about 3 drops (or as needed) of vegetable dye and mix it thoroughly throughout.
5. Top Off With Essential Oils
Next up, we need to add a nice aroma to our soap. For best results, we think a nice mixture of both lavender and eucalyptus essential oils offers the best benefits. Make sure that you mix in the oils thoroughly so that it is all evenly distributed.
6. Pour Into Soap Molds
We’re getting close to done now! Now that we have a nice soap mixture ready, it’s time to let it harden into the good stuff. Pour out your mixture into your favorite soap molds and let them sit and harden completely. For best results, let it sit overnight to ensure it is all completely hardened.
7. Unmold & Use
After a full night’s rest, go check on your soap babies. They should now be hardened and ready for action. Keep them in a dry cool place until you are ready to use them!
Using Kratom Soap On a Daily Basis
Once your first batch is ready, test a small amount on your skin to ensure there are no unintended reactions. If all is well, use it just like your regular body soap.
Tips For Storage & Longevity
If you aren’t ready to use your soap right away, or you are considering selling it, here are some tips for storing and ensuring longevity:
- Seal it: Use an airtight container to ensure that the product stays fresh over long periods of time.
- Store it: For best results, put your finished product in a cool dark place away from any sort of direct sunlight to ensure that it maintains its high level of quality.
- Rotate it: As you store your product for longer periods, it is also advised to rotate it now and then to ensure that all sides stay fresh.
- Keep it Dry: Finally, don’t let any humidity or water get into your soap - until you are ready to use it!
